Gayasan Mountain

The Gayasan Mountain, which is part of the Deoksungsan Provincial Park, contains numerous cultural heritage sites. Gayasansa Temple was built during the Silla period to host state rituals, and rituals were held in spring and fall by the governor of Deoksan until the Joseon Dynasty.

The Seongmungbong Peak contains the most rocks out of all the peaks of the Gayasan Mountain. There is a rock that stands tall like a gate, and a mountain ridge extends from hre to the Oyangbong Peak.There are information panels, and the hiking trails are well-maintained. There are also a number of cultural properties in this area, adding more fun to the hiking experience.
